The library is a Selective Depository for United States government documents. It is also a Selective Depository for California publications distributed by the State Printer. Both depository collections are important sources of legislative history materials such as bills, hearings, reports, and debates. Hastings is also a member of the San Francisco Bay Area Documents Network (BADNET). FEDERAL
DOCUMENTS: The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) has a useful FDLP website that includes the Federal Depository Library Basic Collection (with links to the titles all depository libraries should select or provide access to) and information about the FDLP Electronic Collection. FirstGov is an easy-to-search, free-access website designed to give you a centralized place to find information from local, state, and U.S. Government Agency websites. It is a new official government website which will eventually include links to all government information on the Internet. GPO Access (the official online Federal Government information service provided by the U.S. Government Printing Office) The Federal Bulletin Board (FBB) is a free electronic bulletin board service of the Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO).
