San Francisco Municipal Codes
The City
of San Francisco has arranged for the city's municipal codes to be published
on the Internet by Municode.com.
Due to this arrangement, most (but not all) of the San Francisco municipal
codes are available for free at the Municode.com website. Each code is
in a separate searchable database, although you also can search several
codes at once by going to this
search page.
Because of a recent change in publishers, the San Francisco Building,
Electrical, Housing, Mechanical & Plumbing codes are still hosted
on the Internet by American
Legal Publishing, but these web versions are only current through
June 30, 2005. You can view the current versions of these five codes in
print at many libraries including San Francisco
Public Library, San
Francisco Law Library, UC
Berkeley, and UC Hastings.
