Finding Treatises, Practice Guides and Secondary Sources
Current treatises and most practice guides are in the Research Alcove on the fourth floor of the Hastings Law Library.
To find a treatise the library go to the Encore Catalog.
Type in your search terms (use quotation marks for a phrase) and click on the orange arrow. On the next screen, select "Research Alcove" under the Location menu on the left.
If you prefer to use the classic catalog, do a keyword search then click on modify search
and limit your results to the Research Alcove to see the most current treatises in the Hastings Law Library. Click Submit.

Use our Online Reference Collection to locate online versions of commonly used treatises and encyclopedias.
