Online access to WorldCat (holdings of many of the world's library collections, millions of records in over 400 languages), Electronic Collections Online (ECO) (access to journals published on the Internet), and ArticleFirst (an index to journal articles published since 1990). Use FirstSearch to electronically submit interlibrary loan requests for books held at other libraries.

Borrowing privileges are available at UCSF Parnassus Library with a current Hastings ID and a second government-issued form of identification, such as a California driver's license. The UCSF Library Circulation Desk telephone number is (415) 476-2336.
Hastings students may use the public terminals in the UCSF Parnassus Library to access Galen, UCSF's digital library. Accessible only on the UCSF campus, this system combines the resources of the California Digital Library, UCSF's own databases and online journals, and access to the full text of articles on PubMed. Printing from UCSF computers is $0.14 per page.

ProQuest Health and Medical Complete provides in-depth coverage from over 1,500 publications with over 1,250 available in full text and of these, over 900 include MEDLINE® indexing. The journals cover all major clinical and healthcare disciplines, including medical sciences, immunology, pharmacy and pharmacology, nursing, physical fitness and hygiene, surgery, and others.
ProQuest Psychology Journals (ID and Barcode required off-campus)
ProQuest Psychology Journals covers a wide range of topics from leading psychology and psychosomatic publications. In addition to clinical and social psychology, it also provides coverage of related disciplines including genetics, psychology of business and economics, addiction, linguistics, neurology, social welfare, and more.
ProQuest Research Library (ID and Barcode required off-campus)
A large collection of journals, magazines and newspapers for information on a broad range of subjects such as science, business, art, literature and psychology. You can search the whole Library or select the specific databases you want to search, including the "Health Module," which includes periodicals on health subjects such as medical conditions, substance abuse, insurance, and health policy.
PsycNET (ID and Barcode required off-campus)
PsycNET includes PsychBOOKS, PsycARTICLES, and PsycINFO. PsycBOOKS is a searchable full-text database of scholarly books dating back to 1806 from the American Psychological Association and other distinguished publishers. Also a searchable full-text databse, PsycARTICLES includes over 39,000 articles spanning a wide range of subjects from general psychology to specialized areas within psychology. PsycINFO® is a bibliographic database published by the APA. It covers all psychology disciplines, plus related articles from education, business, medicine, nursing, law, and social work. It provides abstracting and indexing for nearly 2,000 key psychology titles, with coverage dating from the 1800s.
